The Community and Economic Development area of study explores how community and government leaders work together to build critical organizations and partnerships, such as community-based services, arts centers, downtown businesses and a variety of urban renewal and redevelopment projects.

Upon completion of the area of study, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the issues in CED.
- Summarize the policies that influence CED decisions and approaches.
