Comprehensive Tuition Plan
The Comprehensive Tuition Plan allows students to pay one convenient tuition each year that covers up to 36 credits of Thomas Edison State College courses (Guided Study, online and e-Pack®) or TECEP® examinations, as well as credits earned through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) and credit transfer evaluations for courses taken at other regionally accredited institutions that are applied toward a Thomas Edison State College degree. This tuition plan covers all administrative costs associated with a Thomas Edison State College education, except for textbooks, course materials and miscellaneous fees.
Comprehensive Tuition students enrolled on or after July 1, 2013 will receive the locked in Comprehensive Tuition price for twenty-four consecutive months from the date of their initial enrollment.

*Regardless of residence, full-time active duty military personnel have the option to pay New Jersey residency tuition.
NOTE: All tuition and fees listed here were approved on June 6, 2015, by the Board of Trustees of Thomas Edison State College and are effective July 1, 2015. Tuition and fees are subject to change.
NOTE: If your degree program requires a course not offered by Thomas Edison State College, then you may need to take that course at another institution. If so, you would be responsible for any and all costs incurred at that institution.
NOTE: The Comprehensive Tuition Plan does not apply to students in the School of Nursing or students enrolled in graduate programs.
NOTE: Students who exceed the 36-credit limit that governs the Comprehensive Tuition Plan before their current enrollment year is over are able to continue to register for courses but must do so on a per-credit basis by paying the College’s per-credit tuition rates at the time of registration as per the Enrolled Options Plan. Students who have exceeded the 36-credit limit and who wish to return to the Comprehensive Tuition Plan once their current enrollment year expires must contact the Office of the Bursar when they receive their re-enrollment notice.
Enrollment Grace Period
All students are provided a thirty day grace period at the end of their current year of service. For example if their enrollment date is August 2, 2015 they have a thirty day grace period that ends on September 1, 2015.
The primary purpose of the grace period is to provide students completing their degrees with time to submit final grades or transcripts for the graduation audit. Students that will not complete their final courses during the grace period will be required to extend their enrollment.
If a student has not renewed or extended their Annual Enrollment, Comprehensive Tuition, or enrolled in course or exam that will extend their active enrollment under one of the College's per credit tuition plans will become inactive at the end of the grace period. After a student is inactive they will be required to reapply to the College.
Change of Enrollment Plans
Students will be able to request a change to their enrollment plan, Enrolled Options, Comprehensive Tuition, or Per Service Tuition Plan, within ninety days from the start of their current year of service. The written requests must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once received the Bursar's Office will change the enrollment plan and recalculate any tuition and fees if necessary.
