Veterans' Benefits
Students who have served in the U.S. armed forces may be eligible to receive veterans' educational benefits to assist with educational expenses. These benefits also may extend to spouse and child dependents of disabled veterans. Veterans can use the following links to access forms important to seeking educational benefits:
Thomas Edison State College Veterans' Benefit Packet*: This packet outlines the steps and procedures required for obtaining Veterans' Administration (VA) educational benefits. Students will be required to submit either Form A (if Thomas Edison State College is their home institution and they plan on attending classes at another college/university); or Form B (if they plan on taking their courses at Thomas Edison State College). Students are also required to submit the Information Sheet which is included as part of this packet.
VA Form 22-1995-Request for Change of Program or Place of Training: Located on the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs (VONAPP) Web site, this form is to be completed by veterans who have used their VA benefits at another college/university and who would like to name Thomas Edison State College as their primary school.
VA Form 22-1990-Request for VA Education Benefits: Located on the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs (VONAPP) Web site, this form is to be completed by veterans who have never used their VA benefits before.
