Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP)

Thomas Edison State College is a participant in the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP), which meets the educational needs of sailors who want to earn a college degree during their service with the Navy. The College is one of 32 institutions partnering with the Navy College Program to provide greater access to higher education and offers rating-related associate and bachelor's degree programs that maximize Navy training to fulfill degree requirements.

The program builds on the existing Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges-Navy (SOCNAV) foundation, which supports both the Sailor's mobile lifestyle and educational goals.

Chartered in 1972 and regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267-284-5000), Thomas Edison State College is one of New Jersey's 12 senior public institutions of higher learning. It offers educationally valid alternatives to college classroom study appropriate to the varied needs and learning styles of adults, especially those in the military.

To support students earning degrees at a distance, Thomas Edison State College provides a complete network of resources to serve military students worldwide. Through the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership, courses are delivered in several formats that work around the needs of Sailors including participating in the NCPACE program.

To participate in the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership at Thomas Edison State College, students must complete at least 12 semester hours toward an associates degree 24 semester hours toward a bachelor's degree.
