Navy College Program for Afloat College Education

Thomas Edison State College is a participant in the Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE), which is part of the Navy College Program and provides a seamless opportunity for the educational advancement of Navy personnel. Thomas Edison State College is a part of a consortium of learning institutions that enable enlisted Navy personnel to pursue their education through distance learning programs, whether they are ashore or at sea.

TESC has been a proud participant in the Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE) since 2004. We offer 14 general education CD-ROM based courses and 3 degree programs. These courses allow students to continue their education while deployed and without reliable, consistent Internet access. Our degree programs can be completed utilizing a combination of SMART credits, NCPACE and standard TESC classes, DANTES, CLEPS and credits earned from other regionally accredited colleges and universities. In addition, college credit may be awarded for professional training programs or licenses and certifications that have been evaluated and approved by the American Council on Education (ACE).  By participating in the NCPACE program, a sailor can continue his or her goal of earning a degree confidently from sea to shore without interruption.

To learn more about the NCPACE program at Thomas Edison State College, contact the College at (866) 446-1804 or by [email protected].
