What are the requirements for admission to Thomas Edison State College?
There are no tests (such as the SAT) required for admission to Thomas Edison State College. As long as you are a high school graduate or have your GED equivalency, and are 21 years of age or older, you are eligible to be admitted to Thomas Edison State College.
Will I have to attend classes at Thomas Edison State College's campus in Trenton?
No, Thomas Edison State College delivers a high quality education directly to you wherever you live or work. There are no on-campus residency requirements, eliminating the need for students to travel to our campus in Trenton, N.J. Testing is done through the use of proctors at a testing site convenient to the student or can be completed at the College's testing facility. All contact with the College may occur on the Web, by phone and through the mail or e-mail, including application, enrollment, course and test registration, or academic advisement.
How do I get my books?
Students are responsible for acquiring all the textbooks and materials required for the courses. The cost for course materials is not included in your tuition and registration fees.
All Guided Study courses require a Course Manual. The College now offers manuals on the Thomas Edison State College Web, free of charge. If you prefer, you may access the Manuals through the College Web site and select the materials you need to download. Alternately, course materials are available for purchase through MBS Direct, the College's textbook provider.
