Use the toll free Advisement Expressline at (888) 442–8372, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, and Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Calls to the Expressline are typically less than 10 minutes in length.

Know your 7-digit College ID number so an advisor can get into your file quickly. Have your information at hand. If you are thinking of a course with another school, know the name of the school, the course number and title. If you have questions about your evaluation, have it with you so we can refer to it together.
Appointments
If you need more than a few minutes, you may schedule a phone (or in-person) appointment with an advisor in your degree. Appointment slots are 30 minutes in length and allow you to ask detailed questions. The student contacts their advisor by calling (609) 292-2803.

If you have never had time with an advisor this conversation could prove to be enlightening and very helpful. Our advisement staff is ready and highly qualified to assist you and enhance your Thomas Edison State College experience.

Remember to schedule your appointment well in advance of registration deadlines so that there is time for an advisor to assist you. All appointments are conveniently scheduled online through the myEdison® student portal.
Email Advising
If you find it easier to email your questions rather than attempt to have them answered by phone, we will make every effort to assist you through email. If you have the ability to attach or scan documents, we will gladly review anything you send. Send us an email at academicadvising@tesc.edu with your questions and we will respond within 3-4 business days. Remember to include your degree program in the subject line of your email (AA, BA, BSBA, etc.).

We assist students in all 50 states and in more than 100 foreign countries. Time zone differences make email the most popular way to communicate with us.
Fax or Write to Advising
We still receive items by U.S. Postal Service and by fax. We generally answer these by email if you have such capability, or we reply by U.S. Postal Service when necessary.

There are some items that are sent more easily by U.S. Postal Service or fax. Many students do not have access to a scanner device so they rely on a photocopier or a fax machine. We are ready to receive what you send. It will be logged in as a received document, and forwarded to the most appropriate person for response.

Keep in mind: Always include your first and last name along with your 7-digit College ID number. If you wrote to us and we responded, do not assume we know who you are when you write the next time. Some Internet email services do not allow us to view a "previous" note, so when you email us please always include all relevant information for our review.
