STA-201 Principles of Statistics

An introductory course in statistics that develops skills for performing statistical computations and analyzing data. Topics include measures of central tendency and variation; probability concepts, rules and distribution; normal and sampling distributions; hypothesis tests; and descriptive and inferential methods in regression correlations.

It is advisable to have knowledge in a course equivalent to MAT-121 College Algebra with a grade of C or better to succeed in this course. Students are responsible for making sure that they have the necessary knowledge. Students will need a scientific calculator; a graphing calculator is not required. Programmable calculators are not permitted in examinations.
