NUR-441 Community Health Nursing
The promotion of health and prevention of illness is the focus of the Community Health Nursing course. Theories from public health, nursing, social science and knowledge gained from previous learning, set the foundation for students to examine and critically think about the health of families and other groups in the community. Healthy People 2010 serves as a guide for the identification of at-risk groups throughout the lifespan.
Prerequisites: Completion of all other nursing requirements but NUR-500-NG Seminar in Clinical Competence; completion of general education requirements; evidence of current RN licensure.
