MUS-183 Music History II

The student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the history of Western music from the late classical period through the 20th century, stressing the origin and evolution of musical forms, musical styles and the important composers since 1750. The student will also be able to place this knowledge in the broader cultural context of each period and its influence on the development of music.
