HEA-305 Women’s Health
The purpose of this course is to explore what is new, and what women and men should have learned about women’s bodies and women’s health. Personal, family, community and societal influences on women’s health are analyzed. Health risk identification, health promotion, health maintenance, and treatment alternatives are examined and practiced. Participants take an active role in examining their own health behaviors. Special emphasis on human sexuality is woven throughout the course in interactive discussion on issues related to body image and intimacy. This course examines how every woman can arrive at maturity with full physical and emotional health. Men are encouraged to participate and will definitely benefit by gaining an in-depth understanding of women.
