GER-412 Biological Aspects of Aging
This course provides an overview of the normal and abnormal body system changes associated with aging. The factors that are believed to cause or influence the aging process, various theories of aging, physiological changes perceived to be normal and age-related pathologies are all explored. During the course, students will take part in role-playing assignments assuming the roles of interviewers, caregivers, nurses and others in order to integrate knowledge gleaned from readings into future clinical practice or life experiences.
