CAP-171 Windows

The student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of hands-on experience with various versions of Windows, with particular emphasis on XP and Vista. Students will be able to demonstrate how to utilize the Windows operating system tools to install new applications, manage files and disks, manipulate Windows, use Help and launch applications. Students will also be able to demonstrate the ability to employ the control panel to modify the appearance and functionality of Windows, add or remove programs, and set up network connections. Students should be able to install peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners and modems.
