MBA in Healthcare Management
The success or failure of any government in the final analysis must be measured by the well-being of its citizens. Nothing can be more important to a state than its public health; the state’s paramount concern should be the health of its people.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
The American healthcare system is evolving and rebuilding itself in order to meet America's 21st century healthcare needs. Over the past 25 years, waves of federal healthcare legislation, insurance company reforms and health provider restructurings have transformed American healthcare delivery into a structurally complex and financially challenging construct to manage.
In order to simplify the complexities and reduce cost of delivering healthcare in this millennium, the nation’s healthcare institutions will need trained business managers with expertise in healthcare management. They will need managers who’ve earned an advanced degree in business and healthcare management.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 22 percent job growth for healthcare managers through 2020, which is faster than the average for all occupations.
The School of Business and Technology offers an MBA with an area of study in Healthcare Management that hones student’s critical analysis and business management skills enabling them to quickly understanding market trends, regulatory changes and financial systems in order to manage effective healthcare management and delivery.
