Middle States Re-Accreditation
Thomas Edison State College is regionally accredited through a voluntary, peer-reviewed process coordinated by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267-284-5000), which manages accreditation for degree-granting institutions in the Middle Atlantic States, which includes Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and several locations internationally. The accreditation process includes two stages: self-study and peer-review.
In the self-study process, an institution aims to clarify its mission and objectives, demonstrate how it meets accreditation standards and identify ways to improve academics and the student experience.
In the peer-review process, an on-site evaluation takes place that is based on the institution’s self-study and the accreditation standards of the Middle States Commission of Higher Education.
Thomas Edison State College selected the comprehensive model for its latest self-study in order to provide the College community an opportunity to collaboratively reflect on its institutional values and operations as it develops a strategic vision for the future.
