Demonstration of Currency for the ASM
For a student enrolled in the Associate of Science in Management degree program, fifty (50) percent of the credits in the option will be accepted regardless of the age of the credits. Additional credits in the option that are more than 10 years old require that students demonstrate currency in the area. Students have several options to validate their currency including additional coursework, relevant work experience, and/or a conference with a consulting faculty mentor to discuss the student's knowledge of the subject material and the changes that have occurred in the field since the course was taken.
Demonstration of Currency for the BSBA
For a student enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Management degree program, fifty (50) percent of the credits in the option will be accepted regardless of the age of the credits. Additional credits in the area of study that are more than 10 years old require that students demonstrate currency in the area. Students have several options to validate their currency including additional coursework, relevant work experience, and/or a conference with a mentor to discuss the student's knowledge of the subject material and the changes that have occurred in the field since the course was taken.
In addition, the business policy capstone course must have been completed within five years of application to the College. If the course is more than five years old, the student must either retake the course or undergo a demonstration of currency conference.
