Applicants are reminded to include the College's financial aid code on their financial aid paperwork. That code is: 011648.


This page contains a list of important financial aid forms used by Thomas Edison State College. Students may access these forms* by clicking on the highlighted link.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):  Completion of this federal form is the first step in the financial aid process. It is important to list the Thomas Edison State College federal school code on this application. This code is 011648. Plan on four to six weeks for your FAFSA to be processed.

Thomas Edison State College Application for Financial Aid:  This form must be completed by all students seeking financial aid at Thomas Edison State College. The application begins on page 4 and will ask you for your attendance plan for the academic year, which runs from July 1 to June 30 during the calendar year. Plan on four to six weeks for your application to be processed.
 
Mapping Your Future:  First-time borrowers of federally-backed Stafford Loans are required to complete the entrance interview located on this Web site.

Financial Aid Consortium Agreement:  This three-page form is intended for use by degree-seeking students at Thomas Edison State College who plan on seeking financial aid for courses taken at other colleges and/or universities. The Advisor Approval Form is included.

Financial Aid Non-Tax Filing Form:  This form is to be completed by students seeking financial aid who did not file a federal tax return during the previous year.

Income Reduction Form:  This form is to be completed by students seeking financial aid to report that their income has been reduced (from what was filed on their previous tax return) during the past six months.

Verification Worksheet-Independent:  This form must be completed by individuals who have been selected for "verification" by the Department of Education. This form is to be used by individuals who are heads of households and provide their own means of support.

Verification Worksheet-Dependent: This form must be completed by individuals who have been selected for "verification" by the Department of Education. This form is to be used by individuals who receive more than half their support from parents or other income sources.

Forms for veterans seeking to use their educational benefits:

Thomas Edison State College Veterans' Benefit Packet:  This packet outlines the steps and procedures required for obtaining Veterans' Administration (VA) educational benefits. Students are required to submit either Form A (if Thomas Edison State College is their home institution and they plan on attending classes at another college/university); or Form B (if they plan on taking their courses at Thomas Edison State College). Students are also required to submit the Information Sheet which is included as part of this packet.

VA Form 22-1995-Request for Change of Program or Place of Training:  Located on the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs (VONAPP) Web site, this form is to be completed by veterans who have used their VA benefits at another college/university and who would like to name Thomas Edison State College as their primary school.

VA Form 22-1990-Request for VA Education Benefits: Located on the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs (VONAPP) Web site, this form is to be completed by veterans who have never used their VA benefits before.
