Leverage Your Training
Have you earned a professional license or certification, or acquired college-level technical expertise on the job? If so, it may be worth college credit. The College also offers a variety of other ways to earn credit, including transferring previous college credits, all designed around the needs of adult learners, like you.

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology (BSAST) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is limited to certified medical laboratory technologists possessing a required ASCP or AMT; MLT or MT; or NCA: CLS or CLT. Students must present a copy of the original certificate and current renewal card. Required Courses include Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Immunohematology, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and Organic and/or Biochemistry (two courses). Corollary Requirements are Chemistry I and II, Biology I and Computer Concepts. Students whose medical laboratory technology training was not completed in a college credit setting may earn credits through Thomas Edison State College’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). The degree is a 120-credit program.
