The Associate in Science in Applied Science and Technology (ASAST) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is limited to certified medical laboratory technologists possessing a required certification: ASCP or AMT; MLT or MT or NCA; CLS or CLT. Students must present a copy of the original certificate and current renewal card. Required courses include Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Hematology, Immunohematology, Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Practicum. Corollary requirements are Intermediate and Precalculus Algebra, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry I and II, and Computer Concepts. The degree is a 60-credit program.
