Upsilon Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inducted 33 new members on October 10, 2009 at the Honors Ceremony held in conjunction with the College Commencement. Upsilon Rho Chapter holds Fall 2008 Induction
Upsilon Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inducted 17 new members on October 11, 2008 at the Honors Ceremony held in conjunction with the College commencement. Members inducted were Patricia Adragna, Lisa Arends, Gary Fassler, Tara Flint, Donna Gottschall, Charlotte Huebner, Patricia Hutman, Debora Mack, Eileen Maclearie, Patricia Melcer, Marian Moore, Abiola Oyetunde, Christine Realdine-Morton, Laraine Russo, Denise Swan, Catherine Vieira and Robin Ziegelhofer. Also honored at the ceremony were the Arnold Fletcher awardees, Alpha Sigma Lamba inductees, and the Regina Sanchez-Porter Award recipient, Marie Feiter, RN, BSN.
Upsilon Rho Selected for 2008 Regional Showcase of Excellence
Thomas Edison State College's Upsilon Rho chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), was selected to be recognized at the 2008 Regional Showcase of Excellence during the STTI Leadership Academy to be held in Indianapolis, IN, September 25 – 27, 2008. Upsilon Rho was selected based on its submissions "Virtual Panel Presentation: Global Health Issues" and "Building a Virtual Chapter Community Site", along with the NJ Consortium of STTI Chapters for its Founders Day educational program. Submissions that were selected are considered excellent examples of the region's commitment to the honor society's mission and vision. Chapters were recognized during a Celebration and Recognition luncheon on September 26, 2008 and received a certificate.

School of Nursing Honors 2007 Honor Society of Nursing Inductees and Award Recipients
Thomas Edison State College School of Nursing students, graduates, alumni, mentors, and professional staff were recognized at the Special Awards Ceremony and Honor Society of Nursing Induction Ceremony held in conjunction with the College Commencement on October 6, 2007 in the Auditorium of the New Jersey State Library.
The honor society was recently approved as a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing with the chapter name Upsilon Rho. It chapter charter ceremony is scheduled for April 16, 2008 at the College. The 2007 Honor Society of Nursing inductees are Gloria Anderson, Theresa Covello, Elizabeth Elkind, Marie Feiter, Ritamarie Giosa, Lynn Goldenberg Bennett, Betty Gormley, Deborah Gorczycki, Kathleen Griffis, Melinda Hudson, Cynthia Mattia, Katherine Miller, Gwen Perri, Jean Reyes, Carmen Rivera-Ozoria, Beth Simmons, Jovita Solomon-Duarte, Margaret Verzella, Joanne Wentzell, and Cheryl Woelfling. The 2007 Arnold Fletcher Award recipients are Evelyn Eggert, Ifeoma Egwuonwu, Joan Flores-Icaragnal, Kenneth Fuller, Betty Gormley, Ann Massa, Christine Realdine-Morton, Batsheva Saidi and Kathleen Stettler. The 2007 Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society inductees are Cynthia Mattia, Jennifer Morrell, Carmen Rivera-Ozoria and Batsheva Saidi. In addition, Martin Viegas received the 2007 Regina Sanchez-Porter Award.
